Restaurant Roundup: Dahlia debuts, Hey Y'all closes, Company Bar moves in

🥐 After years of anticipation, pop-up bakery Dahlia opened a brick and mortar cafe in Northeast Minneapolis late last month.

• The menu has expanded to include breakfast sandwiches and coffee, but instead of pre-orders, all items are only available for walk-ins.

🍸 Company Bar, the replacement for fine dining spot Petite León, quietly opened in Kingfield.

• The new concept did away with reservations, but lowered prices — cocktails are $12 and the entire food menu is under $18.

🎡 R.I.P. Minneapolis' only restaurant with a Ferris Wheel. Hey Y'all Tipsy Taco Bar, which opened in the former Betty Danger's space less than a year ago, announced on social media it closed Feb. 7.

• Owners did not list a reason for the closure, but the restaurant had faced trademark issues and controversial customer reviews.

🚫 Local Rumor, the New American restaurant that replaced Blue Door Pub on St. Paul's Selby Avenue, closed Feb. 7 after less than two years in business. Owner Scott Cochran cited issues with his landlord in the announcement.

👋 ICYMI: Saffron, the Middle Eastern restaurant that shut down in 2016, has been revived. Chef Sameh Wadi will reopen it in the former Young Joni space with a new menu later this year, per the Star Tribune.
