Wolves hiking ticket prices; making arena progress

By the numbers: Hikes will vary from 8% to more than 20%. All 29 price tiers will be increased in the 20,000-seat arena.

• The Wolves rank 29th out of 30 NBA teams for average season ticket prices, Caldwell said. This hike will bring the team to 22nd or 23rd.
• The team also raised average prices two years ago by 20%.

Arena update

Caldwell said he's met with Mayor Jacob Frey twice since the November election as the team continues to focus on building a new arena in downtown Minneapolis.

• He described those conversations as positive, while declining to get too much into what level of support the team will ask for from the city.
• "He definitely wants to dance, and I think we'll get to a fair solution," Caldwell said.
