A minimalist menswear shop in Northeast Minneapolis made the New York Times' new list of the 50 best clothing stores in America.
What they're saying: The Times called Equipment, which opened in a "calm warehouse-like space" in 2022, a "store where nothing shouts too loudly."
- The writers praised owner Erik Hamline for offering European and Japanese brands "that make clothes for those who appreciate the quiet power of being in the know."
The catch: That rizz doesn't come cheap: Most of the shirts and slacks on the store's website cost $200 or more.
