Minnesota companies take reputation hit

UnitedHealth Group's reputation has declined steeply in recent years, according to the Axios Harris Poll 100, which assigns reputation scores based on seven categories like trust, products and services, vision and culture.
- The Minnetonka-based health insurance giant fell 33 spots since it first debuted on the list in 2020 — from No. 59 to No. 92 this year.
Catch up quick: The company's top health insurance executive was shot and killed in December and since then UHG has been under public pressure amid broader questions about the insurance industry.
Zoom out: Minneapolis based Target, which has faced heavy criticism over its rollback of DEI initiatives, fell nine spots on the list, but still has a "good" rating of 71.
