A starry new cocktail bar from some of the Cities' top restaurateurs is coming to a hot corner in Northeast next month.
Zoom in: The team behind Travail is teaming up with Meteor owner Robb Jones to open Stargazer at 13th and 2nd Avenue NE in Minneapolis β the same corner as Young Joni, Vinai and Oro by Nixta.
- The "slightly more polished Meteor," per Jones, seats 40 and true to its name, will be decked out with black walls and a ceiling full of stars, Mpls. St. Paul Magazine reports.
- Expect an October opening.

π Chicago Taste Authority is shutting its doors Sept. 21.
- Owner Rob Dubnecay, who hinted in July he would not renew his lease in the south Minneapolis building, said on Facebook that "rent soared higher than a foul ball at Wrigley Field."
π³ Hey Bear! is now open in the former Foxy Falafel in St. Paul's Saint Anthony Park neighborhood. The "takeaway cafe" serves breakfast and lunch with a focus on sandwiches and house-made baked goods.
πΊ The former AxeBridge Wine Co. in North Loop will soon be home to The Rabbit Hole, a below street-level restaurant with 40 TVs streaming sports games, live music and DJs, per North Loop's news site. Expect a December opening.
βοΈ Longtime specialty coffee pop-up Happy Monday & Co opened a permanent location in Roseville over the weekend, per its Instagram.
π Burnt Chicken, the fried chicken shop that operated out of First Draft in North Loop before the brewery's closure in January, will take over the East Side Bar in St. Paul, owner Bernard Collins announced on Instagram. Expect a soft opening by November, he said.
π Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks opened its first Minneapolis location, and seventh overall, on 50th and Washburn over the weekend, it announced on Instagram.
