One in five abortion patients in Minnesota in 2023 traveled here from out of state, new data estimates from the Guttmacher Institute show.

That's more than double the share in 2020 before the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

The big picture: Minnesota and other states without abortion bans or restrictions have seen a big increase in out-of-state patients in the wake of Dobbs.

That decision was released two years ago today.
