If your Halloween plans involve screaming in a historic building, good news: Terror Vault announced it will return to the San Francisco Mint this October with a new immersive horror experience called "SLASHED."
What to expect: The latest chapter swaps haunted-house vibes for an unapologetic love letter to over-the-top 1980s slasher movies.
You'll play amateur detective, investigating the fictional Shellville murders, dodging a supernatural killer, and (presumably) questioning why you agreed to this in the first place.
For anyone who prefers their scares with a side of cocktails, there's also Fang Bang, an '80s goth vampire-themed pop-up bar inside the Mint that's open to the public — no haunted experience required.
If you survive the show, you can reward yourself with a trip to the CreepShop or come back in November for a lights-on tour to see how all the nightmares were made.
💀 Call it exposure therapy for horror fans, or a reminder that in every slasher movie, volunteering to investigate the creepy abandoned town rarely ends well.
