Know someone who checks in on neighbors, lends a hand or helps make your block feel like home?
Ahead of SF Good Neighbor Week this September, you can nominate them for a "Good Neighbor Award" through Aug 31.
How it works: Both you and your nominee must live in San Francisco. Organizers especially encourage recognizing the neighbors closest to home, such as on your block or in your building.
Self-nominations, elected officials and current political candidates aren't allowed.
Of note: You can also nominate a pet, teacher or small business for the "Goodest Pet Competion" "Beyond the Classroom Award" or "Small Business Neighborhood Champion" contests.
