San Francisco Pride caps off a month of celebrations this weekend with an annual parade celebrating the city's LGBTQ+ community.
- This year's festivities also uniquely overlap with FIFA World Cup parties unfolding across the Bay Area.
Here's a quick guide to the biggest events going down.
Friday
🏳️⚧️ Trans March: Celebrating the city's trans and gender non-conforming people. March begins at 6pm at Dolores Park.
💃 Drag Me Downtown: "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Jax will headline the final installment of the city's pop-up drag show series. Doors open at 4:30pm, performances run from 5 to 7pm at the Merchants Exchange. $10 donation suggested.
🎼 Pride Concert: The San Francisco Opera Orchestra will hold a special performance at 8pm at the War Memorial Opera House. Tickets start at $30.
✨ Pride Kick-Off Celebration: This official kickoff to the weekend's festivities will feature an art display called "Illuminate" — a Pride flag made of colorful lasers. From 8 to 10pm at Harry Bridges Plaza.
Saturday
🎉 Pride party and celebration: Drag artists, live entertainment and other musical performances will take over five stages over two days at Civic Center Plaza from noon to 6pm. Entry gates are located at Market and Grove streets.
🏍️ Dyke March: This yearly tradition bringing together the city's lesbian and queer women begins on the corner of 18th and Dolores at 5pm. The rally starts at 3pm.
Sunday
🏳️🌈 The 56th annual Pride Parade begins at Beale and Market streets at 10:30am and ends at Civic Center Plaza, where the party will continue until 6pm.
👠 Bar Bibi & El Chato Pride Party: Two of the city's favorite wine bars are taking over 21st and Bryant streets for a rambunctious block party fit with oysters, "glory hole" hotdogs, a vermouth truck, music and more. From 1 to 7pm at 2301 Bryant St.
💖 Juanita MORE! Pride Party: This high-energy party also helps raise funds for local LGBTQ organizations. From noon to 7pm at 620 Jones St. Tickets cost $60.
Pro tip: Taking public transportation or rideshare is highly encouraged. Expect massive traffic delays and road closures throughout the weekend.
