The Golden State Valkyries head into free agency with an edge.

The team blew past expectations in their inaugural season last year, reaching playoffs in a first for the WNBA.
They'll look to build on their roster — led by All-Star forward Kayla Thornton and point guard Veronica Burton — and are likely to woo top talent with the promise of sellout crowds and the opportunity to work with one of the league's strongest defenses.
