"Sexplorations" — the Exploratorium's annual event exploring the science behind sex, reproduction and pleasure — returns tonight ahead of Valentine's Day weekend.
What to expect: The adults-only exhibition features a live sea urchin spawning, a lesson on the physics of pole dancing and hands-on activities involving a flower dissection, data visualizations of your own sex life and a look at vintage vibrators with a sexologist.
Guests can also examine bull and human sperm through a microscope, learn about and see different types of wildlife and insect reproduction firsthand and participate in a cervix viewing laboratory.
