The Super Bowl frenzy is about to take over the Bay Area.
The big picture: Football fan or not, there will be a flood of things to do in the lead-up to Super Bowl Sunday, including musical performances and food specials. Here are a few on our radar.
🎤 Super Bowl Opening Night: Celebrate the two Super Bowl teams at their only public appearance before the big game.
- 4pm Feb. 2 at the San Jose Convention Center. Free; registration required.
🏈 BAHC Live! San Francisco Fan Zone: This event will feature giveaways, sponsor activities and live performances throughout Super Bowl Week.
- 3-10pm Feb. 3-7 and 10am-10pm Feb. 8 at Yerba Buena Gardens and the YBCA Forum. Tickets start at $40.
📽️ Ferry Building Projection Show: The terminal will transform into a time machine, allowing fans to engage with the last 60 years of the Super Bowl through a series of illustrations.
- Evenings Feb. 5-7. Free.
🍻 Downtown First Thursdays: Kick off the weekend with a Super Bowl edition of the monthly block party, featuring performances by Austin Millz, a Gen Z versus Millennial DJ battle, happy hour specials and more.
- 5-10pm Feb. 5 along 2nd Street between Market and Howard streets. Free.
🕶️ Bad Bunny Look-Alike Contest: Tacolious hosts this much-anticipated event in advance of the star's halftime show at the Super Bowl. The winner gets $100 and a Tacolious gift card.
- 5-8pm Feb. 5 at 741 Valencia St.
🌮 Super Row Weekend and Big Game Tailgate: This four-day celebration will include DJs, themed dishes and drink specials, culminating in a tailgate party on Super Bowl Sunday that will feature the official NFL Pop-Up Shop.
- 11am-9pm Feb. 5-8 at Santana Row in San José.
🏟️ Celebrity Flag Football: Watch stars including Tiffany Haddish, Diplo and NLE Choppa face off in a game that could end up as fierce as the Super Bowl.
- 7-9pm Feb. 5 at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley. Tickets are $43-85.
🍔 BAHC Live! Oakland Fan Zone: The Bay Area Host Committee Foundation hosts a fan experience, featuring the Bay Area's own P-Lo and Jwalt, alongside an official Super Bowl watch party.
- 11am Feb. 8 at the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts. Free with RSVP.
🎶 Guy Fieri's Flavortown Tailgate: The food festival to end all food festivals will showcase over 10 restaurant pop-ups curated by the celebrity chef. Loud Luxury will DJ in addition to a live performance by Tucker Wetmore.
- 11:30am-3:30pm Feb. 8 at Cow Palace in Daly City. General admission is free.
🧳 BÉIS Super Bowl Weekend: The travel brand is hosting a two-day activation at San Francisco Brewing Co. in Ghirardelli Square, featuring shopping, interactive games, giveaways, custom merch, and a Super Bowl Sunday watch party.
- 3-10pm Feb. 7 and 10am-10pm Feb. 8. Free.
