Join the California Academy of Sciences this weekend to bid farewell to our beloved Claude, the museum's famed albino alligator who died last month at the age of 30.
The event will feature speeches, performances, crafts and Claude-themed souvenirs followed by more activities at the museum afterwards.
Come share your favorite memory of the academy's unofficial mascot, who was one of a few hundred albino alligators in existence worldwide.
Assemblymember Catherine Stefani and Supervisor Myrna Melgar will also share the results of a public voting campaign to rename a street "Claude the Albino Alligator Way."
If you go: 11am-1pm Sunday at the Golden Gate Bandshell on Music Concourse Drive.
