Or be a tad intense like our editor Geoff, who is attempting the 75 Hard challenge. We do not envy him.
💠Geoff's thought bubble: I've tried (and failed) 75 Hard before, but I remain intrigued by its structure and the discipline required to make it through, plus the chance to shed some holiday pounds.
💠Nadia's thought bubble: I personally don't like high-stakes resolutions. I prefer setting small, attainable goals. One in mind: Getting back into art and being more consistent at attending classes. Maybe I'll try a new craft — like sewing, embroidery or clay modeling.
💠Shawna's thought bubble: I'm making it a priority to go surfing more after going every other day on the Big Island last month (not having to deal with a wetsuit was glorious). I'd like to be able to execute turns by the end of the year — fingers crossed!
💠Claire's thought bubble: Ten years ago, I ditched "self-improvement" resolutions for fun, low-stakes ones — like "pet more dogs" (2019) or "eat the dumplings of the world" (2016).
This year's goal: collecting "zero-stakes conspiracy theories." Not dangerous or believable — just weird enough to spark great conversations. So far, I've learned about the Glitter Conspiracy, Phantom Time Theory and Avril Lavigne being replaced by her backup dancer.
