Your guide to celebrating New Year's Eve in SF

🎆 New Year's Eve waterfront fireworks kick off at midnight in San Francisco. The best spots for watching the roughly 15-minute show are around the Ferry Building and the Promenade. Make sure to dress warm!

🍻 Bar crawls with Pubcrawls.com, Nasstive Entertainment and Events Per Se will provide access to multiple venues and drink specials on Dec. 31 as the clock counts down to midnight.

🪩 A variety of parties are also expected to take over town on Dec. 31. These include:

• A '90s hip-hop and R&B party at Mayes Oyster House from 10pm-2am.
• A Bollywood party at Reverb SF from 10pm-2am.
• A Latin dance party at The EndUp from 9:30pm-4am.
• Three rooms of music and a balloon drop at the Regency Ballroom from 9pm-2am.

🎭 After GlowUp will usher in the New Year with a celebration of queer expression at Space 550, featuring immersive art and activations, body paint, and a DJ lineup starting at 9:30pm on New Year's Eve and running until 4:30am.

🐶 Macy's Union Square will host its final day of kitten and puppy holiday windows on Dec. 31. The partnership with the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals gives passersby an adorable peek at adoptable rescue animals from noon to 5pm.

✨ San Francisco City Hall will light up with its holiday installation for the last time on Dec. 30. The free projection mapping show transforms the building's Polk Street and Van Ness Avenue facades into a giant animated storybook. Shows run every 30 minutes from 5:30pm to midnight.
