'Tis the season to stay warm and get festive at one of San Francisco's many holiday night markets.
The big picture: Whether you're in need of some holiday cheer, looking for a gift or eager to treat yourself to something seasonal, here are some events to add to your holiday circuit.
- Going to a market also makes it easy to shop local, with vendors, artisans and small businesses all in one place.
✨ North Beach night market (Dec. 5): A classic. 5-10pm on Grant Avenue between Vallejo and Filbert streets.
🛍️ Richmond holiday pop-up market (Dec 6): For the savvy thrifter. 11am-4pm at 19th and Balboa streets.
🏰 "Holy Moly" market (Dec. 6): For "The Princess Diaries" fans. 11am-4pm at 724 Brazil Avenue, home of the firehouse featured in the movie.
🎅 Dogpatch holiday market (Dec. 6): A visit from Santa is likely. 11am-5pm on 22nd Street between Illinois and Indiana streets.
🇮🇹 Mercatino di Natale Italian night market (Dec. 6-7): For the Italophile. 10am-6pm Saturday, 10am-5pm Sunday at the Fort Mason Center, Building C.
🎁 Sunset Mercantile holiday night bazaar (Dec. 6-7): It'd be a surprise if you walked out of here empty-handed. 11am-5pm at The SF County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park.
🖼️ SFMOMA holiday makers market (Dec. 7): Best for sourcing jewelry, ceramics or art. 10am–5pm on Floor 2, Helen and Charles Schwab Hall.
🖤 Black holiday market (Dec. 13): Spotlighting Black-owned businesses. 9am-2pm at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
🎨 Backyard bazaar and craft fair (Dec. 14): Celebrating Latinidad. 12pm-4pm at Nido in Oakland.
🌙 Fort Mason night market (Dec. 19): For the vintage and craft connoisseurs. 5-10pm at the Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture.
🎷 Fillmore night market (Dec. 19): R&B and faux-snow are the main draws. 5-9pm on Fillmore and O'Farrell streets.
🏙️ Rooftop holiday faire (Dec. 19-21): Like stepping into a quaint European village. 12-5pm at the Fairmont Hotel.
