If you could only have one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner in one day — what places would make the cut?
- A few weeks ago, we asked you to share your favorite last-meal type spots in San Francisco.
Here's what readers had to say:
Terrie M.'s tastes lean heavily on comfort food and classic pub fare.
- Breakfast: Liberties — Great for a boozy brunch or some bangers & mash.
- Lunch: 21st Amendment — RIP to its San Francisco taproom.
- Dinner: Blue Plate — Fried chicken, but make it fancy.
Evan G. knows how to dine like a pro.
- Breakfast: The "bad & bougie" burrito at Breakfast Little.
- Lunch: Oysters and caesar salad paired with a California white at Zuni Café — timeless.
- Dinner: Chef's tasting menu at Quince — a finale worth the splurge (and also a favorite of Mayor Daniel Lurie's).
Burton H. cherishes the city's old-school restaurants.
- Breakfast: Sears Fine Food — "all singles must share" was the rule in the old days when he would dine there with his mom.
- Lunch: Sam's Grill and Seafood Restaurant — his preferred midday spot to grab a bite as an office worker in downtown.
- Dinner: Original Joe's — because it was his late sister Janet's favorite.
- Nightcap: Big 4 — the perfect stop for one last drink (once it reopens).
Ana C. likes a little bit of everything the city has to offer.
- Breakfast: Croissant at Arsicault — perhaps the most sought-after bakery to get this pastry, which she calls "simple and delicious."
- Lunch: Dim sum at Hong Kong Lounge — what's not to love?
- Dinner: Dirty martini and burger at Brazen Head because this Marina favorite is all about the vibes.
Howard S. prefers no-frills joints.
- Breakfast: "Amor a la Mexicana" omelet at El Mil Amores.
- Lunch: Tie between corned beef or pastrami sandwich at Deli Board and tacos at El Patrón.
- Dinner: Cordon Bleu — a French inspired Vietnamese hole-in-the-wall he's dined at for 30 years.
Asha M. favors unfussy, casual meals.
- Breakfast: Open-face sandwich at Duboce Park Café, eaten outdoors on a nice day.
- Lunch: A sandwich from Rhea's Deli & Market.
- Dinner: Tie between pizza from Jules or a salad from Arbor.
