The Bay Area is gearing up for the Fourth of July, with celebrations lighting up the region all weekend.
The latest: Here's how to spend the holiday.
🎺 Sunset Dunes Community Parade: March with a neighborhood parade from Noriega to Kirkham streets through San Francisco's new oceanfront park. The event includes marching bands, fire trucks, live music, bounce houses and face painting.

- Where: Begins at Great Hwy. & Noriega St.
🪲 Marin County Fair: Celebrate the expansive world of bugs at this year's ultimate insect-themed fest. Expect plenty of family-friendly activities including interactive exhibits, hands-on art, nature education, bug-inspired decor, a petting zoo, contests, nightly fireworks and free carnival rides. Tickets start at $25.
- When: Wednesday-Sunday; 11:00am- 11:00pm daily
- Where: Marin Center Fairgrounds at 10 Ave of the Flags, San Rafael
🎭 4th of July 2025 Comedy Festival: Featuring comedians who have served in the military. Tickets start at $25.
- When: Thursday-Saturday; various showtimes nightly
- Where: The Function at 1414 Market St.
🍻 Pub Crawl and Hot Dog Eating Contest: Join hundreds of partygoers for a star-spangled crawl through the Marina's liveliest bars, including Westwood, Silver Cloud and Jaxson. Featuring discounted drink deals on beer, cocktails and shots and a race to finish 12 hot dogs for a $100 cash prize. Tickets start at $17.

🎼 "Fireworks Spectacular": The San Francisco Symphony and ukulele musician Taimane are hosting a festive Fourth of July concert that concludes with a fireworks show. Tickets start at $29.50.

- Where: Shoreline Amphitheatre at One Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View
🤼 Bolinas vs. Stinson Beach Annual Tug of War Battle: The competition begins with a tug-of-war between Bolinas and Stinson Beach men's and women's teams, followed by a community barbecue, parade and pickleball challenge. Expect Grateful Dead-themed performances from local acts.

🎤 Rooftop R&B Day Party: Featuring 90s, 2000s, and modern hits and signature cocktails in an open-air setting. Tickets start at $23.
