Bouquets to Art, San Francisco's beloved fusion of art and fresh flowers, is back for its 41st year.
Why it matters: The exhibition has outgrown its home in the de Young Museum and will be expanding into the Legion of Honor for the first time this year, with more than 100 arrangements on display across both venues.
Zoom in: The exhibits are spectacular, including the white floral sculptures in the Legion's Rodin gallery. You can't miss the towering red tribute to Dante's Inferno that greets you upon walking in.
Raul Dueñas, the lead designer for the Inferno piece, combined thousands of stems with botanicals from his native Mexico to create a living tribute to Auguste Rodin's "The Gates of Hell," currently on display in the same gallery.
What they're saying: "It's been such a long process — the planning, the sketching, the logistics, the transportation," Dueñas said. "It's very emotional to see your piece of art coming to life."
