The Golden State Warriors are headed to the NBA's Play-In Tournament after losing their final game of the regular season Sunday.
State of play: The Warriors will have to beat the Memphis Grizzlies at 7 Tuesday night at the Chase Center to secure the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference.
- If they lose, they'll get one more chance to play for the No. 8 seed.
Catch up quick: Golden State got out to a blistering 12-3 start to the season but wasn't able to maintain that level of success as they fell to 25-26.
- Yes, but: They pulled off the trade that saved their season by acquiring Jimmy Butler just hours before the deadline. The Warriors went 23-8 after he played his first game with the team.
The intrigue: Though other NBA teams have seen fans return to home games at pre-pandemic levels, the Warriors have not.
