The vibes in the Bay were immaculate over the weekend as basketball fans from across the country arrived for NBA All-Star weekend.
The latest: I visited the AT&T Booth at NBA Crossover (a weekend-long fan experience at the Moscone Center) to get some dunking tips from Milwaukee Bucks player Andre Jackson Jr.
Jackson competed in the slam dunk contest on Saturday night but ultimately lost to defending champ Mac McClung (G League, Osceola Magic).
What they're saying: "All-Stars has a lot of the best players in the league," Jackson said. "I'm just grateful to be a part of it."
Inside the room: The perfect dunking grip technique, according to Jackson: "Dominant hand on top, other hand on the side and get your elbow under the ball."
Dear reader, I was not good at this.
💭 My thought bubble: I asked whether I had what it takes to play for the Bucks. Jackson's answer was definitive: "No."
