Mudd the Two-Spirit plays the king of the undead, Dracula. Photo: Claire Reilly/Axios
If you don't have the guts to see Robert Eggers' horror adaptation of "Nosferatu," I have something even more over-the-top for you: "Dragcula."
Catch up quick: The show is an all-drag adaptation of the original Bram Stoker novel, written and developed by local drag icon Polly Amber Ross.
Forget serious, gothic drama. This play is ridiculous and queer with plenty of lively (albeit undead) lip syncs.
What to expect: Everything, including the costumes and makeup, has been designed to re-create a black-and-white film.
💭 My thought bubble: Ross and Vanilla Meringue nail the damsel-in-distress comedy double act and Mudd the Two Spirit, playing Dracula is like the city's very own spiritual successor to Tim Curry.
If you go: Dragcula is running Thursday through Saturday at Oasis for the next two weekends. Find tickets here.
