Take the family to see "Anastasia" down south in Foster City and support a local theater production while you're at it!
Dive in: The musical, an adaptation of the 1997 animated film, follows a young woman named Anya who embarks on a quest to uncover the truth of her past.
Set in the twilight of the Russian Empire, if features a spectacular score and iconic songs like "Journal to the Past" and my personal favorite "Once Upon a December."
It made its Broadway debut in 2017 and has since been adapted around the world.
The show, a production by the Hillbarn Theatre & Conservatory, runs through Dec. 29 at 1285 East Hillsdale Blvd. in Foster City.
The intrigue: Masked performances will take place Dec. 15 at 2pm and Dec. 20 at 8pm.
