One of the largest holiday projection mapping shows in the U.S. returns to San Francisco for its fourth season in December.
Why it matters: Let's Glow SF generated an $8 million economic impact in the downtown area last year and attracted about 67,000 attendees, according to the mayor's office.
Driving the news: From Dec. 6-15, seven San Francisco locations — ranging from Annie Alley and the PG&E Substation to the Ferry Building and the top of Salesforce Tower — will serve as the canvas for stunning animated light displays created by 13 local and international artists.
- A project by the Downtown SF Partnership (DSFP), the event will feature nightly shows from 5:30-10pm and a block party on Front Street on Dec. 13.
- Downtown businesses will offer themed drinks, bites and discounts throughout the 10 nights.
What to watch: A public kickoff on Dec. 6 will include a DJ, performances from Catalyst Arts and Circosphere and complimentary hot chocolate from Sunset Roasters and Marley's Treats.
