End of an era: Klay Thompson's run with the Warriors is over

• During Thompson's 13 seasons with the Dubs, the Warriors won four championships in eight seasons.

State of play: The 34-year-old, who became a free agent this offseason, plans to join the Mavericks on a three-year, $50 million contract, ESPN reports.

• It's a tough pill for Dub Nation to swallow, but at least we were there to witness his greatness.

🤯 37 points in a quarter

Thompson set the all-time record for points made in a single quarter in January 2015.

• He scored 37 points in the third quarter in a game against the Sacramento Kings, knocking down nine 3-pointers along the way.

🏀 The poster dunk

On Jan. 9, 2022, a.k.a. Klay Day, Thompson threw down a monster dunk against the Cleveland Cavaliers in his first game back following two major injuries that sidelined him for 941 days.

• He called it "honestly one of the best moments of my life."

⛹🏽 60 points in three quarters

The year was 2016. The month: December. Thompson went off for 60 points on just 11 dribbles over the span of 29 minutes.

• Thompson, to this day, is the only player in NBA history to finish a game with 60 or more points in less than 30 minutes, according to Bleacher Report.
