Warriors look to keep the good vibes going

The Golden State Warriors may still be fighting for a spot in the playoffs, but rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis' dunk on fellow rookie Victor Wembanyama this week helped bring good vibes back to the team amid Steph Curry's absence.

Why it matters: The Warriors hadn't won a game without Curry all season, so this was a good confidence boost, even if it was against the San Antonio Spurs, the worst team in the Western Conference.

Context: Jackson-Davis, at 6-foot-9, was the 57th pick in last year's NBA Draft while Wembanyama, at 7-foot-4, was the first overall pick.

The big picture: The Dubs have a 34-30 record and currently sit in 10th place, which is just good enough to be in the Play-In tournament, where teams compete for a spot in the playoffs.

What to watch: The Warriors will be without Curry, who's been sidelined with an ankle injury since last week, for Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks.

But perhaps the Dubs can still get a win, and make their record 2-4 without Curry.
