One of San Francisco's best bars wants to host your next party

What's happening: This year will bring an expansion of the 49-seat space's private rental program, spokesperson James Home tells Axios.

The intrigue: Aside from being celebrated for its artfully crafted concoctions, the Interval is also distinguished by its quirky collection of books, art and artifacts.

• It houses a floor-to-ceiling library of books needed to "rebuild civilization" in a post-apocalypse world, the prototype for a one-of-a-kind clock meant to last for 10,000 years, and wall art that's ever-evolving.
