Be careful when you put up your holiday lights and Christmas tree, because people have opinions.
What's happening: A majority of Axios San Francisco readers said the day after Thanksgiving is an appropriate time to put up holiday lights.
The big picture: It feels like people are getting ready for the holiday season earlier than ever these days, with some folks saying right after Halloween is a good time to get into the holiday spirit.

What they're saying: "Let the people celebrate!" reader Kaci B. said. "With so much doom and gloom in the world, if lights make people happy, who cares!"
- Hannah S., who said "there's never a wrong time" to get into the holiday spirit, said people should get to "do things that bring them joy as long as it doesn't harm others."
- Plus, she added, having just one month to listen to Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" "is simply a crime."
The other side: Deidre Quick, who said it's appropriate to put up holiday lights and a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, said "each month has its designated holiday."
- "The holiday season takes up enough of our attention and resources during the month of December, so [it] should be confined to that month. It's simple logic."
What's next: You gotta do you, but no matter what you do, we hope you have a happy holiday season.
