The sun's finally sticking around, which means it's patio season.
The big picture: Pittsburgh has no shortage of places to eat and drink outside this summer.
- We're rounding up some of our favorite patios, rooftops and beer gardens — from fresh arrivals to perennial mainstays.
Palm Palm offers tropical cocktails and contemporary American fare on a stylish patio with colorful Palm Springs-inspired decor at 5996 Centre Ave. in Shadyside.
Hofbräuhaus serves German beer, bratwurst, schnitzel and pretzels in a lively riverside biergarten with long communal tables and outdoor seating at 2705 S. Water St. on the South Side.

Spirit's new rooftop garden bar is the perfect place to sip cocktails with friends before heading inside for a sourdough pizza in the venue's redesigned dining room at 242 51st St. in Lawrenceville.
Grist House Command serves craft beer and ciders alongside a full kitchen in a former Cold War missile command center with large outdoor patios and sprawling South Hills views at 301 Sgt Messerschmidt Road in Collier Township.

Strange Roots has two dog-friendly taprooms with ample patio seating at 501 E. Ohio St. in Millvale and at its beer garden at 977 5th Ave. in New Kensington.
The Finch offers cocktails, shareable plates and weekend brunch in a rooftop space with panoramic skyline views, an outdoor fireplace and patio seating at 59 S. 2nd St. on the South Shore.

Cafe Du Jour has small plates and European-style dishes in an intimate garden patio tucked behind the restaurant at 1107 E. Carson St. on the South Side.
Shore Thing is a floating riverfront hangout with drinks, snacks and free community events on a barge-style patio anchored along the Allegheny River at 2 Federal St. on the North Shore. Opens May 22.
SugarBird serves fried chicken sandwiches, donuts, cocktails and draft beer at a massive outdoor plaza with patio seating and giant screens at the North Shore Plaza across from PNC Park.

Esquina Cantina serves tacos, tamales, tostadas and agave spirits like mezcal and tequila on a lively patio with open-air seating and a covered bar at 3720 Butler St. in Lawrenceville.
Tulum Modern Mexican Food serves tacos, fajitas, enchiladas and margaritas in a tropical-inspired space with a covered patio and outdoor seating at 4450 William Penn Hwy. in Murrysville.
