Wiz Khalifa, Kane Brown to headline free NFL Draft shows

Wiz Khalifa, Bret Michaels, and Kane Brown will headline a slate of free concerts for fans outside Acrisure Stadium during the NFL Draft.

Why it matters: One of football's biggest events is a national showcase for its host city, and Pittsburgh's entertainment lineup leans on local roots.

Zoom in: The NFL on Thursday announced country star Kane Brown, Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa, and Butler-born rocker Bret Michaels will perform as part of the three-day NFL Draft Entertainment Series.

Pittsburgh-raised artist KELS will perform the National Anthem to kick off the draft April 23.
The James Weldon Johnson Foundation's National Hymn Choir, joined by Pittsburgh's Heritage Gospel Chorale, will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

Also: Khalifa and Michaels will perform at 5:15pm April 24 ahead of draft rounds 2 and 3.

Brown will close out the weekend with a performance after the final picks on April 25.

State of play: All shows will take place at the Draft Theater adjacent to Acrisure Stadium. Viewing will be first-come, first-served and fans should arrive early.
