My Miami lunch chronicles continue.
- Today I'm bringing you a mouthwatering Mediterranean chicken bowl so filling and flavorful that you won't mind the $18 price tag.
Why it matters: The Citadel's new Mediterranean spot, The Wrap Man, gives diners another top-notch dining option at the Little River food hall, which has been a great all-day spot to watch the World Cup.
What they're saying: Owners Vanessa Casas and Atilio Padra opened The Wrap Man in November after seeing a need in the area for freshly made salads, bowls and wraps.
- The married couple — who are also behind Tacos El Machine Gon — previously operated The Wrap Man as a food truck before opening the physical location.
- "We've been growing exponentially with clients that really enjoy our food and our effort to have everything fresh," Casas tells Axios.
Case in point: The hummus, baba ganoush, tzatziki and other spreads are made from scratch every day. The veggies are cut upon order. The meat is also cooked from raw in real-time.
- The food is a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern mix of flavors representing countries like Greece, Israel, Lebanon and more, reflecting Padra's Lebanese roots.

🏆 State of plate: I ordered the chicken bowl, one of their most popular items.
What's inside: A generous serving of chicken souvlaki, rice, hummus, tomato, cucumber, red pickled onion, Kalamata olives and lemon herb tahini.
- I ate it all in one sitting because it was that good, but you could easily spread it over two meals.
- The juicy-yet-crispy chicken skewers are marinated for 24 hours in Syrian and Lebanese spices.
- The bowl is a perfect blend of savory, tart, creamy and leafy that provides a healthy and balanced meal.
If you go: The other most popular dishes are the chicken wrap ($16) and salmon bowl ($20).
- 🕞 Sunday–Thursday: 12pm–10 pm. Fri–Sat: Until 11pm.
- 📍 8300 NE Second Ave., Miami.
Editor's note: This story has been corrected to reflect that The Citadel is located in Little River (not Miami Shores).
