After a historic, musical, tumultuous and transformative 12 months in South Florida, it's almost time to say goodbye to 2025 and ring in the new year.
The big picture: Whether you look back on 2025 with joy or scorn, we're all ready to turn the page and see what 2026 has in store.
Here are some of the top New Year's Eve events happening around South Florida:
π€ Bayfront Park will host a free fireworks show and concert.
- Marshmello, Nicky Jam, Flo Rida, Gente de Zona and ToΓ±o Rosario will perform at the concert organized by the Bayfront Park Management Trust.
- Dubbed The Countdown Miami at Bayfront, this year's event also features a VIP open bar experience ($209+).

π The Big Orange β Miami's version of New York's crystal-covered ball β will celebrate its 40th year ascending the Intercontinental Hotel to ring in the New Year, according to artist Steve Carpenter, known as Mr. Neon.
- Carpenter tells Axios he will receive a key to the city on Dec. 26 β which is also the installation day for the 35-foot-tall, 2,000-pound Big Orange, also known as La Gran Naranja.
- "For me, it's just amazing that it's gone on this long and it's become an icon, which is pretty fabulous," he says.
πͺ Orchestra Miami is throwing a free New Year's Eve party featuring performances from its 42-piece symphony orchestra and Miami-based Grammy-nominated Afro-Cuban funk band Palo.
- Festivities begin at 8pm along the Collins Park beachfront, between 21st and 22nd streets.
- The event is presented by the Collins Park Neighborhood Association and sponsored by the city of Miami Beach.
π Farther south, you can catch the fireworks at the Lummus Park beachfront.
- Ocean Drive will be closed to cars from Dec. 24 through Jan. 11, with over 30 restaurants extending their outdoor seating.
- The fireworks display is presented by the city and the Ocean Drive Association.
π₯³ Up north, Fort Lauderdale will drop a lit-up anchor to ring in the new year at the Orange Bowl Downtown Countdown, a free street festival.
- There will be kids activities, a DJ and live music from Phillip Phillips.
- Festivities start at 4:30pm.
- Southwest Second Street and Southwest Fifth Avenue
π Regatta Grove is hosting a NYE party with fireworks.

π The Miami Children's Museum will host its annual Noon Year's Eve event, featuring a countdown to noon and a balloon drop at a Times Square-inspired party.

π₯ Red Rooster Overtown is hosting a Harlem Nights New Year's Eve Party at the speakeasy above the restaurant.
