Tacos María at Zey Zey is the perfect pre-concert meal

It was sad to see the Wolf of Tacos leave Zey Zey this past summer, but a new food truck — Tacos María — has been delighting hungry music fans ever since.
- The Wolf has since opened its own spot at MiamiCentral's Brightline station.
Why it matters: Finding good food at a concert can be a headache, but in Miami we're blessed with some food-forward venues, like Gramps and the Miami Beach Bandshell.
- At Zey Zey, owners Grassfed Culture Hospitality are the restaurateurs behind the Michelin-starred Los Félix and its sister restaurant Krüs Kitchen.
State of play: Tacos María, also operated by Grassfed Culture, began slinging its Mexican street food in July after the Wolf of Tacos ended its residency.
- Tacos María serve tacos, quesadillas, tostadas and esquites.
My order: I loved the Chicharron taco ($6 each), which comes with braised and fried pork belly, onions and cilantro on a nixtamalized corn tortilla.
- Pair that with the Al Pastor quesadilla ($14) — chile adobo marinated pork butt, onions, pineapple and cilantro on house-made tortillas with cheese and pickled onions.
- Then drizzle on your choice of three house salsas — tomatillo and avocado, molcajete and habanero chile de arbol.
The bottom line: That quesadilla is so good you'll almost forget about the show.
Pro tip: If you prefer a pre-concert burger, Magic 13 Brewing across the street is a great option — especially if you're really hungry.
