Singer Camila Cabello and philanthropist Lauren Sánchez teamed up in Miami on Sunday to host a holiday celebration for 20–30 reunified migrant families.

What's happening: Los Angeles-based humanitarian organization This Is About Humanity, which supports separated and reunified families at the U.S.-Mexico border, gathered resources for the families with Miami Freedom Project and Catholic Legal Services.

Sánchez donated $1 million to This Is About Humanity in 2022.

What they're saying: Cabello's family emigrated from Cuba when she was 6.

The singer said in a statement, "Meeting other families who had similar journeys helped us put down roots in Miami, the incredible home it remains for us today. Florida's diversity and culture make it one of the most special places in the world and we need to protect that."

Of note: Cabello went to Miami Palmetto Senior High School, as did Sánchez's fiancé, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
