Four years ago, Andrew Otazo walked the length of the Miami Marathon carrying a bag of trash he collected from a mangrove forest to raise awareness against environmental pollution.
- Yesterday, the 35-pound backpack of trash he hauled back in 2019 made its debut at HistoryMiami Museum as part of a new exhibit.
By the numbers: The public relations professional and author of the satirical "Miami Creation Myth" says he has hauled over 23,000 pounds of garbage from Key Biscayne, Virginia Key and the Everglades as part of his mission.
