Since its opening on Dec. 23, dirty soda shop Rocket Sips has launched Huntsville tastebuds into the stratosphere.
The big picture: It's not the first dirty soda shop in Huntsville, joining others like Sweet Home Sodas in offering a mix of flavored syrups, creams and other adds to sodas.
Zoom in: Right by the post office at 8415 Whitesburg Dr., Rocket Sips has been off to the races since opening, says Gus Fratangelo, who was working the register Tuesday.
The menu features Huntsville-themed concoctions like the ever-timely "Was That Thunder?," a Coke with cranberry, vanilla and lime, and the "Hide Yo Wife," a Mountain Dew mixed with passionfruit and grapefruit.
You can also make your own, choosing a base soda and going from there, and they offer kids options that can be topped with whipped cream and gummies.
What they're saying: It's been going great since the opening, especially with engagement on social media, Fratangelo tells Axios Huntsville.
He said the "Block Party," a Dr. Pepper with coconut, vanilla, lime and coconut cream, is the best seller.
"Baker & Able," a Dr. Pepper with raspberry puree, vanilla and vanilla cream; and "30A," a Sprite with strawberry, watermelon and lime, are also popular choices.
💠Derek's thought bubble: Yum. I went by Tuesday and ordered the "Saturn V," a Sprite with cranberry, raspberry and vanilla cream. It was V good.
My wife got "The Block Party," and my 4-year-old went with "The Starlet," a kids order of Sprite, Grenadine, coconut cream, whipped cream and sparkles.
