1-minute voter guide: Amendment 82

Context: Conservative group Advance Colorado, which backs the measure, argues it's needed to combat statewide policies aimed at reducing overall natural gas use to meet its climate goals.

• If passed, the measure may restrict future regulations on natural gas by state or local government, per the nonpartisan blue book.

The other side: Opponents argue that protecting natural gas in the state constitution would undermine efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions and curb air pollution.
