A Fort Collins temporary tattoo maker has landed a collaboration with Olivia Rodrigo.
Why it matters: The partnership has put the Colorado business in front of the global pop star's millions of fans, translating into an overnight surge in sales for founder Emma Mannino's small business.
The big picture: Saint Tattoos is one of 10 female-owned Etsy shops Rodrigo selected for an exclusive handmade collection tied to Daisy Chain Fields, the singer's inaugural all-women music festival next month in Irvine, California.
- Those sellers will be at the festival to offer exclusive merchandise, hands-on experiences and opportunities for fans to meet them.
The intrigue: Mannino nearly ignored Etsy's invitation because it was so vague she assumed it was spam. She later learned that the mystery collaborator was Rodrigo, Inc. reported.
- "It's still mind blowing that my shop was picked," she told Inc.
By the numbers: The collaboration gave Saint Tattoos' Etsy shop a major boost in its first 24 hours, according to Etsy data shared by public relations firm DKC.
- Orders surged 2,571%.
- Shop visits skyrocketed 2,696%.
Zoom in: Saint Tattoos creates hand-drawn temporary tattoos printed with skin-safe, non-toxic materials. Designs range from florals and nature-inspired illustrations to unicorns and monster trucks for kids.
- The exclusive Rodrigo collection sells for $5.80 per tattoo on Etsy.
