The big picture: Licensed child therapist Deena Margolin and parent coach Kristin Gallant were recognized this month in Time's "Catalyst" category for Big Little Feelings, their platform that's attracted more than 3.5 million Instagram followers.
Time credits the duo with helping popularize gentle parenting, writing that they're "leading the charge" behind a generation of parents who increasingly treat children "like people, too."
What they're saying: "We set out to help build a generation of children who know, deep in their bones, that their feelings are safe, that love isn't something they have to earn, and that home can be the safest place in the world," the toddler whisperers wrote on Instagram after the honor.
