Colorado gas prices rise above $4

Gas prices are rising in Denver and throughout the state.

Why it matters: Household budgets are squeezed as is. Now, as the Iran war escalates again, pain at the pump is being felt locally and nationwide.

By the numbers: Denver's average price of regular gas jumped to $4.11 a gallon yesterday — up from $3.82 a week ago, and $3.69 a month ago, according to AAA.

• This time last year, it was $2.94.
