Denver is gearing up for a loud and lively July Fourth weekend as the U.S. celebrates its 250th birthday. Here's what's popping off:
๐ Fireworks and drones
- Sunset Cinema and drone show: "National Treasure" screens tomorrow at Sculpture Park, followed by a drone show. Free with RSVP.
- Coors Field fireworks: The Rockies face the San Francisco Giants this weekend, with postgame fireworks scheduled tomorrow and Saturday. Tickets start at $48.75.
- 4thFEST: USA vs. Portugal headlines a July 4 rugby doubleheader at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, followed by fireworks. A free, family-friendly festival starts beforehand at 3pm. Tickets start at $32.
- Fireworks and festivals are planned across the metro, including in Aurora, Arvada, Brighton, Broomfield, Castle Rock, Littleton and Westminster.
๐ Parties and parades
- Park Hill Parade: Denver's biggest Independence Day march starts at 1:30pm Saturday along 23rd Avenue, featuring floats, performers, marching bands and more.
- Red, White & BBQ: Join Rare Bird atop the Halcyon in Cherry Creek for BBQ, fireworks viewing, a live DJ and menu specials all day. Free with RSVP.
- Barbie-Que Beach Off: Improper City is hosting a '90s beach theme party Saturday with a giant inflatable obstacle course, drink specials and a BBQ food truck. Free.

- Denver Milk Market: Enjoy $4 Coors Light, $5 Marczyk brats and franks and $2 housemade potato salad from 3pm tomorrow to 9pm Saturday.
- Good Times: The Colorado-based burger and frozen custard chain is offering a $2.50 menu of select frozen treats.

- Independence Eve concert: The Colorado Symphony will perform iconic American favorites at this free concert tomorrow evening at the Buell Theatre. Free with ticket.
- Independence Day concert: The Denver Municipal Band will play at 11am and 7pm Saturday at Washington Park. Free.
- Denver Union Station: Enjoy a variety of live music performances from 5-8pm tomorrow and 3-7pm Saturday. Free.
