Colorado beer season peaks at July 4

Beer is the beverage of choice for July Fourth.

By the numbers: Sales spike 25% above normal in the two weeks surrounding the Fourth of July, per the Boulder-based Brewers Association.

• And breweries count on 5% of annual sales in that period.
