Denver Pride caps offa month of celebrations this weekend with a 5K, parade and festival honoring the region's LGBTQ+ communities.
Why it matters: The family-friendly events mark a celebratory moment for the city's queer community — and bring PrideFest to a new downtown Denver home.
State of play: Denver PrideFest moves from Civic Center Park to 16th Street this year, where the festival will run from Broadway to Arapahoe.
The Pride 5K starts at 9am Saturday at Cheesman Park, with registration still available. Cost: ~$50
The Pride Parade takes over 17th Avenue from Franklin to Lincoln streets on Sunday from 9:30am–12:30pm. Free
Denver PrideFest will fill 16th Street on Sunday from 10am–6pm, with a Latin Stage, The Gayborhood and youth and family areas. Free
If you go: Other Denver Pride-affiliated events this weekend include drag shows, arts and crafts, an official after party and other performances.
The event website lists programming by day, price, age, venue size and type.
