USWNT star Lindsey Heaps launches sports show

Future Denver Summit FC star and current U.S. women's soccer team captain Lindsey Heaps is teaming up with the largest independent soccer network in the U.S.

Zoom in: Heaps, who will join Denver Summit FC in June, will star in a monthly show called " The Captain with Lindsey Heaps" starting Wednesday.

The show is part of the Men in Blazers Media Network, which produces the popular "Men in Blazers" podcast focusing on the English Premier League and other notable competitions.

How it works: Heaps will be joined by co-host and former player Sam Mewis, editor-in-chief of "The Women's Game," a platform featuring current and former pro women's players discussing soccer and more.

The new show will explore Heaps' career, offering an inside look at her move to Colorado and the lead up to the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.

What they're saying: "This is a chance ... [to] highlight incredible talent changing the game, and dig into defining moments that show what it really takes to lead and grow as a player," Heaps said in a statement.

What's next: The show premieres on Wednesday on YouTube.
