Don't let the cold front keep you away from the ice.The Professional Women's Hockey League returns to Denver Sunday, as the Vancouver Goldeneyes face the Seattle Torrent at Ball Arena.
The big picture: The PWHL Takeover Tour matchup — featuring 16 regular-season games at 11 locations in the U.S. and Canada — allows Denver fans to see pro women's hockey right in their backyard.
State of play: The Torrent and Goldeneyes are the bottom teams in the league — but don't let the early-season results fool you.
Torrent forward Hilary Knight sits fourth in the league in assists (7). And Vancouver's Julia Gosling (11) and the Goldeneyes' Claire Thompson (8) lead their squad in points.
Flashback: Last January, a then-record 14,018 people witnessed the Minnesota Frost beat the Montréal Victoire 4-2 at PWHL's first-ever Denver game.
More than 123,000 fans attended 2025's nine-stop tour.
Between the lines: A second Takeover Tour game between the New York Sirens and the Minnesota Frost is scheduled for March 15 at Ball Arena.
