By the numbers: Local drivers can expect to pay 56 cents less than the national average to start the month, per GasBuddy data.
Context: Newcomers offering lower prices, a low gas tax and Suncor's refinery plant using cheaper oil are all translating to better deals at the pump, Patrick De Haan, GasBuddy's head of petroleum analysis, tells us.
- Suncor's plant in Commerce City sources oil from Canada, which is cheaper compared to other countries' supply, De Haan says.
