Veterans make up 7% of Colorado's adult population, slightly above the 5.9% national average, according to the latest census data.
- The greatest share of vets live in Alaska (9.9%), Virginia (8.9%) and Montana (8.4%), while the lowest shares are in D.C. (3.1%), New Jersey (3.4%) and New York (3.5%).
