It's Denver Beer Week and time for the annual Great American Beer Festival.
The intrigue: You don't need a GABF ticket to celebrate β taprooms in the metro region are hosting events with all-star breweries from across the country.

πΊ The Great American Beer Festival starts tonight and continues through the weekend, offering 2,000 different beverages, from beer and ciders to spirits and seltzers. Tickets start at $104.
πHops & Pie on Tennyson Street added 20 additional taps this weekend, all of which will be pouring the best beers nationwide and some local favorites. Free to attend.
π₯ Cerebral Brewing is hosting an East vs. West IPA competition at two of its taprooms. The Congress Park location will pour hazy IPAs while the new West Highland taproom will pour West Coast IPAs. First location to kick the kegs wins. Free to attend.
π» If light, easy-drinking lagers are more your speed, head to Cohesion Brewing tomorrow and Sunday for a showcase of the style. The Denver brewery is using the park near its location for the celebration. Free to attend.
π²π½ The Great Mexican Beer Fiesta returns Saturday to Denver Beer Co.'s location on Platte Street. It features beer from Mexican-inspired brewers, live music and entertainment and a street market. Free to attend.
π Beer Block returns to Larimer Square on Saturday where you can wander into shops, drink good beer, listen to live music and get a bite to eat. Free to attend.
