Denver police chief on ICE recruitment: "Terrible job for terrible pay"

• ICE salaries range from $49,739 to $89,528 a year, Newsweek reports. The federal law enforcement agency's TV ad touts $50,000 bonuses and student loan repayment for new hires.

An ICE spokesperson on Tuesday directed recruiting questions to the Department of Homeland Security, which did not immediately respond.

The intrigue: At least one officer has left the Boulder Police Department to join ICE, Denver7 reported.
