Colorado now boasts nine Michelin-starred restaurants — and one two-star standout.
Why it matters: The restaurants honored by the Michelin guide are the best in the state, and often where it's toughest to snag a reservation.
State of play: Here's a list of all the restaurants in Colorado (in alphabetical order) that have received a Michelin star since 2023 — and what the judges said about them.
⭐️ Alma Fonda Fina (Denver) — "Chef Johnny Curiel started off in his family's restaurant in Guadalajara, and after years of high-end culinary experience, he revisits dishes and flavors from his upbringing with creativity and finely honed technique, delivering results that are both satisfying and delicious," the guide says.
⭐️ Beckon (Denver) — Serving contemporary cuisine, the restaurant's seared quail breast with confit leg was noted as being "spot on" in the guide. "Desserts are especially captivating," Michelin says, so save room.
⭐ ️Bosq (Aspen) — The guide highlighted this contemporary mountain town restaurant's format, which lets people customize their own tasting of four or more courses. The ingredients are from the Earth, whether it's local purveyors or foraged.
⭐️ Brutø (Denver) — Now under the helm of executive chef Byron Gomez, the downtown restaurant focuses on elevated and global offerings made on a wood-fired oven.
⭐️ Frasca Food and Wine (Boulder) — At this Italian restaurant — named best restaurant in 2025 by James Beard — the "minimal, straightforward" approach to dishes earns acclaim.
⭐️ Kizaki (Denver) — Chef Toshi Kizaki is a veritable trailblazer of Denver's sushi scene, and now he's "bringing a new echelon of omakase," the guide states. The quality of the ingredients is especially notable.
⭐️ Margot (Denver) — Once a pop-up, Margot is now an eight-seat counter that offers contemporary cuisine tracking the seasons with global and distinctly Coloradan dishes, the guide commends.
⭐️ Mezcaleria Alma (Denver) — This is Curiel's second Michelin-starred restaurant, earning a reputation for its creativity and takes on Mexico City staples.
⭐️⭐️ The Wolf's Tailor (Denver) — This modern restaurant was noted for its "unique, genre-defying" style combining elements from Nordic, Italian and East Asian food. And its drinks also won accolades for their creativity.
